Dr. Taylor,
I am very thankful that the children and staff had the opportunity to see such an event. My Kindergartner has come home day after day, since November, with questions and concerns about President Elect(at the time) Barack Obama. It has been an amazing opportunity to explain to her our "non negotiables" in regards to his stand on issues. While I didn't go into what each of those were, I was able to stress to her the importance of knowing what you believe and standing up for it 100%. It also gave me an opportunity to explain to her that even though he may not believe in everything I do, he is our leader and as you pointed out, we need to be prayerful for him and support him in the way we can, without loosing sight of our beliefs. So, on Tuesday she was so excited to be able to see him sworn into office. I am so thankful that my children think it is absolutely insane that someone might not be able to go to school or ride a bus because of their color. So, to share this event in class was exactly what I think any good educator should have done.

God Bless you and your staff!

My kids were so excited as well. Loved also seeing Coach Cunningham out greeting the troops walking into LS. And what effort by the football team Friday night!

Larry,

Since our boys have graduated, I miss the many parent involvement activities at PCA. I still make the occasional football and basketball games, and really enjoyed the spring play. And, I sorely missed going to the All School Worship this year!

Being "empty nesters" now, I also reflect on the many pictures Jane has around the house and I have at work of my family, especially since I am having withdrawals of having both boys at home occasionally over the summer and now back at their respective colleges. I can not wait for Parents Weekend at Hillsdale in October and then Thanksgiving!

I pray each and every day for you, the staff, the faculty and the Board of Trustees.

God Bless,
Bill

Dear Larry,Thank you for leading us all in a manner that is pleasing to God! Starting the new school year off in the Spirit of worship and obedience to God, will no doubt reep great rewards! It was such a blessing for me personally to hear my daughter pray and call out to her Lord during our time to pray as a family that night. Her heart was moved because the Spirit of the Lord was present. I don't always see this attitude of true worship in my teenage daughter,so it truly was a blessing to behold and to treasure in my heart.God is faithful, and that night He showed me another evidence of that.Thank you for your acts of obedience, Larry; we will keep you and your family close in prayer throughtout the year!

Larry,

I love the Blog! What a great resource. I know you get tons of questions from PCA parents about why things are "the way they are" at school. Whenever you get one of these type of questions it would be awesome if you could address it in the blog. Just think, by the end of this year you would have enough articles to write a book. Keep it up, you are doing a great job.

Amen! I have always felt the same way. That's why I love to volunteer for centers and bring my girls lunch... it just makes the rest of the day better. It will be a sad day when I no longer have an excuse to come into lower school.
